Thank you for your interest in the MMS Cheerleading Program. We are looking forward to another great year of cheer here at MMS. Candidates must be a 7th or 8th grader for the 2024-2025 school year to participate in the upcoming tryouts.

There will be a Cheer Information/Parent Meeting on Wednesday April 9th at 6pm in the MMS Cafeteria. This is for anyone interested in trying out; we will review expectations, the season, and tryouts.

The tryout dates are: Wednesday, May 7th: 5:00-7:30pm, Thursday, May 8th: 5:00-7:30pm, & Friday, May 9th: 5:00-7:30pm and Saturday, May 10th: 10am-1pm(ish)

Cross country is a team sport ran by individual runners competing for the best overall team time. Though it is an individual sport, we focus on team energy and working together. Encouraging each other and building one another up is a huge part of this team. Our focus is to grow together & better our individual times as well as our team times. When we work together we will always be more successful. No running experience is necessary, we will build from current fitness levels.

If you did not make the team, please come to my room and I can show you where you need to grow and your overall scores. PLEASE try out again next year. This year you all showed so much talent and enthusiasm, if I could have kept all of you I would have. I graded you all each day based on 10 skills then added them up for each day and found the average, if you did not make the team it was only by a point or so. Please reach out so I can answer any questions you may have or if you would just like to see what you scored each day.
